What is ADAS Calibration?
ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems) use cameras and sensors to support safety features like lane departure warning, adaptive cruise control, forward collision warning, and automatic emergency braking. When the windshield is replaced, even a small change in camera angle or position can impact how those systems “see” the road. ADAS calibration (recalibration) aligns the camera and sensors back to manufacturer specs so your safety features behave the way they’re designed to.
If your vehicle has a camera near the rearview mirror, windshield replacement and recalibration is commonly required.
